WE ARE 3!

We are 3!!! Nope, I am not referring to hubby, pea and myself. Am referring to me and Hubby, our 3 wonderful years together officially as husband and wife. Past 3 years have been great, loving him more and more each day. So much so, I understand him so much until I can read his mind and complete his sentence when he only uttered one word. Of course, how can we not celebrate our anniversary without a nice dinner? We are not those kind who opt for romantic settings complete with candle lights. In fact, when Hubby suggested to eat out yesterday, both of us already got a place in mind......a same place...guess where????

KING CRAB!! Hahaha! Your mind must be thinking "NOT AGAIN?!?!" But today we decided to order something totally different from our many previous visits.

I have been eyeing their Geoduck during my past visits and tonight we ordered the smallest in the tank. Priced at RM230 per kg, our Geoduck weighed about 1.1kg (RM252.00) and we chose to have it sashimi-style, the best way to enjoy the natural sweetness of this wonderful shellfish. It also came with a pot of herbal soup which is very tasty on its' own, so for those doesn't fancy raw fish can dip the geoduck into the boiling soup. The geoduck tasted very sweet and I just love the moment when the sweetness of the juices splattered everywhere in your mouth while you chew. Ohh la la!!

Got to say am a bit disappointed with the soya sauce as they used the Chinese instead of Japanese soya sauce. Aiyoo..next time must bring my own Kikkoman.
The waitress suggested that since we have superior herbal soup that comes with the Geoduck, why not order a plate of spinach, tofu and enoki mushrooms to go with it?? Sounds good to me!! The veggie platter, priced at RM12 seems a bit pricey but definately tasted very good since the spinach absorb the sweetness of the soup.

Our complete set of Geoduck meal.....heavenly good!!

I was grinning when the waitress told me this good news. For every order of a geoduck, they give 600 grams of prawns for free. Yes, FREE and we even get to choose the cooking style we like. Isn't that great? *grin grin* Since their salted egg squid was so good during my last visit, salted egg prawns won't go wrong, right? Turned out, Hubby loves this dish so much. Once again, we discover another yummy dish here. The shell was so crispy, you don't even need to peel it off. Very well coated with salted egg and yet not saltish.

Guess how much is this plate of BB-Ham aka BBQ Cockles? For 2/3 of the portion served here, SS2 Medan Selera is selling at RM8. And here, it's only RM6. Goes so well with the Thai Chilli Sauce but only complain is the size of the cockles a bit too small.

The Claypot Pork Ribs (RM12) which I can't remember its actual name, was quite tasty too. The chunks of meat were tender and the sweet and sour gravy was very appetising.

Lastly, we sapu all the mantis prawns in the aquarium. Well, only 4 pieces left, so just nice for 2 of us and the lady was more than happy to clear their stock. Cooked in Salt and Pepper style, I like the taste here which is not too salty but prefers Unique's Mantis Prawns which are much bigger and meatier. Of course price at Unique at least 5x more...since it's only selling for RM5 per piece in King Crab.

Total bill came up to RM335 for two of us. Pricey dinner due to the Geoduck which contributed 2/3 of the bill. But two of us walked out with a grinning face, so I guess money well spent!

Congrats on the 3rd anniversary. I must admit my must have on special occasions would be a salted egg hairy crab. Geoducks just look too...phallic to be eaten. *shudder* ;-) Even the thought of it being chopped up is "painful."
