FAT, JUICY, SUCCULENT BURGER

I was at Cold Storage after lunch yesterday, for work reason, and decided to grab some food to cook for dinner. Felt like having something different instead of the usual stir-fry meat and veggies to go with rice. I spotted the non-halal session and immediately I walked in and the first thing that greeted me was this: Rawlins Beef Burger Patties! Burger is definately something very different, so why not? Available in 3 flavours; beef, pork and chicken and it comes in 4 patties for RM23.90. I was tempted to go for pork when the cashier told me beef is much nicer.

The beef patties were quite huge and chunky and filled with herbs and spices. Smells good even when it's uncooked. You can either grill or pan-fried it but I chose the latter for easy cleaning.

Served on a toasted sesame bun, I also slotted in slices of cucumbers and tomatoes and finished it off with chilli sauce.

Hubby took a BIG bite and showed off the thickness of the pattie. Really juicy and meaty! Thumbs up for the good quality!

I also bought a pre-packed Caesar Salad to go with the meaty burger.

We totally enjoyed the dinner, but I will definitely go back to grab the pork for comparison.

Hubby, hehe..you are so bias but glad you like it.

Babe: I tot of mustard too but don't have any at home. Put in pickled cucumbers and a slice of cheese lagi nice!

wmw: No, RM23.90 for 4 patties! On average, one burger costs less than RM7.00 (including cucumber, tomatoes and bun). Cheaper and healtier than McD leh!!!

meiyen: Ok ok...next time i try the pork and chicken, i will post it just for you.

I think it's cheaper to buy it straight from Jarrod and Rawlins at Damansara Heights (near Jalan Semantan) or the one in Hartamas..

I think I prefer the pork burgers, they've got a chewier texture.. Also, try placing some sliced cheese over it after cooking..

Instead of using burger buns, try using toast white bread, like the true 'original' first burgers.. I find Malaysian burger buns SUCK!

oooh, I'm also into burgers at the moment. We just had an excellent one last night. Thanks for the tip on this. I love J&R's items - didn't know they had beef patties.

big boys oven: Oh yes, definitely good quality! As fresh as from the butcher!

sc: Go try it soon! Nice nice nice!

jian: Agreed. Priced at RM6 each, I find it very reasonable lor. At least I don't find it processed meat.

lyn: I will sure go try the pork soon, you are right, probably texture wise will be nicer especially with the pork fats. Oooo..can almost feel it in my mouth oledi. The burger bun I bought was actually not bad, a brand that i have not seen before but couldn't remember the name. Must go home and check.

the team: Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE! Hahahahaha!

boo: Where you had your burger last night??

can i hv chicken instead??

Precious Pea said...

fbb: Yumzz...your version sounds good to me but i don't have all those stocked up in my fridge. :(

tankiasu: Issit? Perhaps they have more variety there too. I saw gourmet sausages as well but pricey la...RM20+ for 2 pieces.

jackson: Can, go to Cold Storage! Hehe!
