When I received an email a month ago about the Malaysia Responsible Dog Ownership (MRDO) Day that was held yesterday, I knew it’s an event not to be missed. It was also the first time ever for Pea and Pumpkin to attend such event so that got me even more excited. Despite being held on Sunday, my dad and Hubby got up very early to get ready for the day-out too. After I packed some water, doggie treats, disposable hand towel and newspaper (for the poo poo), we drove off to Central Park, Bandar Utama.
The boys were very excited when I put them inside the car.
Registration started at 8.00 a.m. but when we reached there about 7.45 a.m., there were already lots of loud barking from excited doggies.
After I got the two boys registered, we walked around the park to make some new friends. It was fun to see how friendly Pumpkin was. Regardless of big or small dog, he will still run over to make friends. However, Pea takes longer time to warm up with other dogs.
First stop, Pea (red leash) and Pumpkin (green leash) befriended a Beagle and a Shih Tzu…lots of sniffing involved…sniff sniff sniff.
Wow! I didn’t realized there were so many Shih Tzu until I went through all the pictures I took. Yeah! Shih Tzu rules! Anyway, I also took a lot of pictures of other breeds too but as they were always in moving motion, it was quite difficult to get a good and clear photo. Here are a few good ones:
Yo Yo Yo!!! Ain’t I cool or what?? (Psst…look at the chopstick leg)
So embarrassed to say this, Pea and Pumpkin were so unfit. Barely an hour, both of them were so tired and decided to sit down at the walkway. The event has not even started!! There were supposed to be some dog demonstration by the Police K-9 unit as well as Doggie Games and Competition - Footy Fun Run, Mummy Wrap Rap, Dog Recall, Fastest Eating Duo, Dog Best Fashion, Weave Fast-n-Steady, Simon Say, Dog Musical Chair. Since we have to rush off to KL at 10 a.m., we decided to head home for my boys to rest.
Pea and Pumpkin resting……watching the world goes by…..tired tired....
While heading back to our car, this lady with her terrier was looking for a parking space. So I decided to pat this fella’s head since it already popped out from the car’s window.
My two boys totally enjoyed themselves and they were so exhausted when they reached home. One thing for sure, in future we will definitely participate in such enjoyable event!

live2talk: Too many pretty girls to choose from, Pea was spoil with choices. But personally I prefers the one in the stroller with ribbons on her ears as my daughter-in-law.
NJoe: Yup...not only they have to get fit, me too! Jogging session commence this weekend!!
mamabok: Thanks! *proud grin*
mycoffee: Luckily you didn't bring Julius. Don't think it's suitable for him to go out socialise at such young age. Better wait till he is much bigger and stronger. So, next one i will see you there?
christine leng: Errr...I think they do have German Shepherd but I didnt manage to get any pic cos I scare of large fierce dogs. You planning to get a German Shepherd?
xlb: Handsome or not? Hehehe....wink wink? Ooo..yours a female hor? Wanna be in-laws? LOL!
Should we be expecting Pea's and Pumpkin's offsprings anytime soon?! ;-)
Such nice pics. I also like that cool looking dude with the chopstick legs! Hahaha....
Wah... so sporty doggies! The Afghan Hound is sexy :p

tankiasu: HOPEFULLY! Keeping my fingers crossed.
wmw: Hehehe..i pity that fella la. He must be wondering why everyone stop and laugh at him. But i do hope he win the best dressed dog contest cos he is so cool!
teckie: Am sure got bulldog but I left early, before the event actually started so i guess i missed a lot. :(
Jason: The Afghan Hound so pretty isn't it? Her fur was so nice...and when she walks, oooo...so graceful. I like :)
Next time i also want to bring fifi and lexus (golden retriever) to mingle around!!
Ahem Lexus (handsome golden retriever, 4yrs old) looking for girl friend... anyone can recommend?

So cute all of them esp the two handsome P's! Am sure they will soon find gfs.
hey...pea and pumpkin is still the best ler...!!! U be a great outing!
silly-meow emily: Great! Next time before the event, i will put up a post to inform people, so those interested we can arrange to meet there. I saw many Golden Retriever that day, so am sure Lexus wouldn't have prob finding himself a gf.
meiyen: It's open for the public with or without dog. Admission is free. When are you getting your pup?
terri: The white and grey dog you referring to is actually a fat shih tzu. Really?? You sniffing the screen?? LOL! I tot people only do that to food post. Hehehe.
boo: All also so pretty, dunno which to choose as my daughter in law. But as of now, my boys will remain virgin till i find suitable candidate.
jackson: Awwww.....you are so sweet. Actually, I also feel that Pea is the best looking Shih Tzu that day and also Pumpkin is the best looking Pekingnese. But i didn't say it in my post, scare kena scolding from people for being so bias. LOL!
Was very proud how the boys behaved. Quite apparent that they were delighted to be there. Feels proud to be their owners.. hahaha
i like pumpkin a lot!!! i used to keep one... ermmm... 18yrs ago...
Hubby: YOu love them both don't you? Admit it dee, you love them both right??
ai wei: 18 years ago? Wow...that's very long long time ago.
Pumpkin does look like tai-kor. Pea looks like d baby now.
In future, while you get into good company in food bloggin' events, your cute doggies can also have their doggie "wagging" events. :P
Ur dogs are SSSOOOO CUUUUUTTTTEEEE! >.< Everytime i see their pictures, i feel like pinching them. Opps! I mean patting them :X Hehe~And it's interesting to name ur dogs after vegetables, which star with 'P' XP
tummythoz: Agree agree! Pumpkin has got the strong character, the "don't mess with me" look whereas Pea is more timid and gentle.
tigerfish: Next mission, find foodies with doggies. That would be fun isn't it?
shirley: Hahaha...actually Pea is Snowpea but we we are used to calling him Pea. Next dog will be called Peppermint.
Oh! *giggle* Shy to say, now only know Pea & Pumpkin are different breeds! Thought they are the same since both also small size. No wonder the way the fur grow on both dogs look so different. :p
