This is a recipe that one can't go wrong. All you need are some really fresh prawns, preferably large to extra large size prawns. However, I particularly enjoys eating smaller prawns as they tend to have a sweeter taste. Using a scissors, make a slit behind the back of the prawns and remove the veins. For faster cooking time, you can opt to remove the shell only at the body part while leaving the head and tail intact.
For the seasoning, using a small bowl, add a dollop of butter and mix it with finely minced garlics. Add in a tad of salt, pepper, 3 drops of sesame oil and a teaspoon of chinese cooking wine (optional). Give it a good stir to form a paste. Smoother all over the prawns and leave it aside for 5 to 10 minutes. Preheat your oven and grill your prawns for 10 minutes at about 175 degree Celsius. Best eaten immediately!

I agree, small and medium size prawns have more taste and are sweeter. Sometimes, simpliest cooking are the best, yes?

christine and melissa: Have fun whipping this dish :)
jason: Yummy yummy yummy!
boo: Yes, fast and easy!
cynthia: Hahaha! That won't happen cos the prawns all jumped into my stomach already.
mamabok: Aiii...yalor...it's only fun to have a good eating companion when it comes to eating seafood.
imbi & itchy: You agree with me too?? Hehe..even smaller crabs are sweeter but it's just a bit too much hassle.
wenching & esiong: Why? You don't take prawns?
terri: Yes, am using my cheap P&S camera only but so far, very happy with the results.
ekeng: Don't forget to blog about it ;)
luscious sista: Maybe you can do this too and add it into your salad. The garlic gravy is really nice. Ooo..can even have some pasta to go with it!
cokeworld citizen: Sit and wait to makan? Sounds so much like my dad and Hubby! LOL!
live2talk: Aiyah...where got extraordinary? All the dishes i cooked so far are very normal. Wait till i learn how to grill frog legs, baked wild boar pie, etc...
hazza: Exactly! I like to cook prawns the simpliest way. Anything fresher than this would be steamed with chinese cooking wine! Yumz!
kavi: Yes yes...try it. I think your hubby will love it.
ling239: Yep! Perfect for those who doesn't have much time to spend in the kitchen.
garlic and prawns-the perfect match! Love the way u did it too.
THIS can only be GOOD!
But too bad I don't have an oven now.
Maybe I can try steaming it. I may not use butter if I'm steaming...Hmmmm
Daphne: Thanks :)
tigerfish: Steam would be tasty too...especially with chinese cooking wine!
very crispy and crunchy can feel the marine sound and the garlicky scent but wonder why oh why many people reject prawns for the cholesterol but gluttonise the emperor pork hand for longevity,
team bsg: Exactly! That is far more artery clogging and waist expanding than prawns!
Wow! Cool...I must try this out, simple, and it doesn't need a lot of works.
