First of all, a big thank you to those who left me a comment in my previous post "Take a Guess". I had fun reading the answers especially WorldWindows who guessed it was pinenut tree!
I will now reveal the answer...ready??? Drums rolling.......and the answer is..... ASPARAGUS!! There are a few who guessed correctly, clap clap clap! It doesn't look anything like asparagus isn't it? I am seriously doubting if they have mixed up the seedlings as it does look like herbs. Anyway, I do hope my baby asparagus will grow up well and hopefully, I can share with you on how I am going to cook it!
I am taking the opportunity here to wish all Hindus a very Happy Deepavali!!!

Asparagus? I would have thought it's some kind of herbs!
This is what wild asparagus looks like so I knew what this was. :) You must take step-by-step photos so I can see how it becomes the asparagus we see in stores.
I missed the previous post! If I'm to guess, I tot it was Dill! hahahaha
wow, congratulations! ur asparagus is growing..
it certainly don't look like an asparagus to me..it really look like dill..haha...hope ur baby asparagus grow fast..
What? Asparagus? It can be a good spy in between the herbs, haha XD
i nvr thought it'd be asparagus - was arguing with mum abt it - thought it was dill or fennel!
knew it was asparagus bc it used to be widely grown at kundasang (mt kinabalu) in the 80s. sorry but i think u'll get chopsticks-thin asparagus bc the plant needs cold weather to sprout fat stems.
asparagus?!!!
i was abt to say a mini pine tree >.<"
hahaha, guess i missed the teaser post. oh well, at least now i know how an asparagus plant looks like :)
Wah sure boh? Erm...fry with belachan? :)~~~
tigerfish: I would have guessed dill too!
wandering chopsticks: I sure will! Hopefully it will grow well cos it's so tiny and fragile now.
denise: Hehe..thanks! But I guess I shouldn't be too happy till i harvest it.
christine: I also don't know why the tip looks so hairy.
mimid3vils: That is why i put it up cos am sure many wouldn't have guess it look like this during its infancy.
hongyi: Haha..your mum expert in gardening so I guess you can't beat her. So back to KK oledi, enjoying yourself?
terri: Should i put fertilizer at this stage or to wait? No wonder the asparagus in Aust so fat and those locally grown look so malnourish.
ling239: Hahaha..pine trees! Need 2 chipmunks to go with that!
sc: Knowledgable hor?
unka: I scare tak cukup to fry. Need to buy some outside to add in. I think i will wrap with bacon to grill instead. Slurps.
wah! Really dun look like asparagus at all ... I thought it is dill, haha :D hope it grows big and strong ^o^
noobcook: Keeping my fingers crossed.
It is asparagus indeed. I also grow a few in my backyard. And had harvested for nearly a year now!
Jam: Cool!!! Do you pull the whole thing out when you harvest them? Or do i just cut it and leave an inch? Will it regrow?
